It Was Almost the End of Nick Cutchall (Originally Posted 02/15/2020)

I'd been ridiculed all through school, shoot even by my own wife (the second one)! At the time I felt like there was no point in living. Everything I did I always messed up. I was worthless. Dad and all these others were right after all! Then as if to put the nail in the coffin, I received a restraining order from my wife. On it, she'd stated she wanted nothing more to do with me. I thought of all I'd given up to be with her. A great wife, in-laws, my own sister, and mom, and best friend Chett. So that night I devised a plan to take my life the next morning when they let us out of ours cells. Who'd miss me? I thought, I am just a scumbag! God had other plans. The next morning I'd overslept and missed the door opening to get out. I was woken up by the C.O.(Correction Officer) saying I had a visit. It was a preacher from the church we'd been going to. He reminded me that no matter what we've done, God still loves us and can and will forgive us if we confess, repent, and ask! This was on Friday , Aug 20th. The previous Sunday I'd finally walked down the aisle to ask for prayer to be delivered from lust. I felt nothing. I know why now, but that's for a later blog, so stay tuned! When this feller offered to pray for me, I figured what the heck. I didn't expect to feel a thing because of Sundays experience, Yet, oh boy did I! The weight that was on my shoulders for years, I literally felt it lifted! Joy and Peace poured into me and the love of Christ washed over me. The lust that was an ever present feeling was gone. I could think clearly for the first time in 20 years! Now let me tell you, this was also very difficult in a way, because I could think clearly! I saw why I acted and more accurately, reacted to situations, and why my wife , Jerri, acted the way she did. I don't know what's going on in your life right now, or what you've done. I'm here to tell you that God loves you! The Bible says in Romans 5:8 "But God shows and clearly proves his {own} love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Also in 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." That's right! All unrighteousness! Do you know the Jesus whom will cleanse you by the blood he shed on the cross for you? The NASB Bible says in Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved for with the heart a person believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Y'all if you claim this then Praise the Lord! Welcome to the family of Jesus Christ. Find a church and read the Bible, Pray daily, Thank God for all He's done and will do for you!!
