This morning I thought I’d sit and listen to a song we learned for Praise and Worship. In this version of “Love Come Down" by Brian Johnson. Discover Bethel Music has what’s called finger picking all through it. You know I’ve played the guitar for over 20 years yet never tried this style of playing. So, I figured I’d sit and listen and get a feel for what’s going on, guitar wise. Turns out, my spirit had other plans! I started praying and thanking God for sending his love down to rescue me from the bondage of sin and death! Praise the Lord ya’ll! Let me tell you, just sitting here telling my Father that I am his… I felt his love flow through me this morning! As a follower of Christ, we can’t forget to pray and read his word. Christianity isn’t a religion. It’s a relationship! Remember Revelations 3:20? Jesus wants to dine with you!
“What does it mean if I don’t feel God in my life?” you may ask. Well shoot, that’s a great question! Personally, I don’t always feel God either. However, I know he is there inside me. God said he’d never leave us or turn his back on us. (Deuteronomy 31:6) The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMP) "For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.” You see folks, I don’t figure God, the maker of Heaven, earth, and us is a liar. Now we don’t see the architect of the statue of liberty, but we know who built it. We believe by faith that when we sit in a chair it will hold us and not break! As a Christian we have faith the God means what he says and will do exactly that! You can put your trust in Jesus. Paul says in Acts 16:31 to believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. Even when we can’t see or feel Gods loving presence, trust and believe HE IS there with us!
